Gottman I
I believe healing happens within supportive, attuned relationships, and that greater self-awareness can open the door to growth, deeper connection, and meaningful change. My hope is to provide a warm, compassionate space where you feel safe to explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and move toward healing and wholeness.
I work with children ages 3 and up, adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, neurodivergence, perfectionism, behavioral concerns, grief, family conflict, and life transitions. I partner closely with parents to help them better understand and respond to their child’s emotional and developmental needs.
With a person-centered approach at the heart of my work, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to meet each person where they are. My counseling approach is rooted in the belief that every person has inherent worth, purpose, and the capacity for growth and healing. I honor each client’s unique values and experiences and welcome those who wish to incorporate their faith or spiritual journey into the counseling process.
My husband, Mark, and I have been married for over 30 years and have three grown children and a spunky mini-Aussie named Gumbo. I love the Tennessee mountains, classical literature, and all things New Orleans. I am passionate about walking alongside others as they pursue healing, growth, and hope.
